Mobile, the API and the Web

There is much buzz recently on the web vs. Native app for mobile. Native Apps open up the Phones APIs and the power of the phone services, the Web allows dynamic content, constant updates’, Extension of security and back end integration.

5o9Inc. delivers the best of both through their Web App. It is confusing at first our hybrid approach. We deliver a Web App that enables web services on the mobile to take all the advantages of the Native App without the overhead, risk and cost.  

We deliver a native app type download to the handset that includes everything a user expects of a native application including Icon to launch the service. However when the user uses the icon, rather than launch a Native App it launches the browser. The browser has a simple pop-up that the user can customize to include information like user name and password or any information the user and services provider wish to share.

Our “App” also dives into the phone and returns information to the services provider about the phones potential including use of storage, accelerometer or other features on the phone. Now a Services provider can dynamically present pages and use the phones tools!
