HTML5 a Start?

But frankly what has ever been innovated properly in committee? My Point Exactly!

509inc had a similar thought when we started 4 plus years ago and since then brilliance inside 5o9 and listening to customers has allowed us to build a better solution.

With web apps rather than native apps, Services can update as often as they wish and start driving new interface excellence!  Even do Personalization?

The entire HTML5 thing is driving business our way.

We actually are better than HTML5 in that:

HTML5 is a pull of metadata. We are a push, Less data on the network, more efficient system. We can access (as an app) all the phones APIs not true for browsers.   We also can add personal data in the metadata field for the service and the customer to share that is defined by the service! (Imagine User name and password in metadata and only a pin for mobile log on)

The market is waking up to web apps over native:

Doing what you love! Natural Curiosity?

Do you have any? What are you curious about?  The new Rim ads state don’t just like your job love what you do. In today’s world of tough to find positions and thin management layers having a position is to many a blessing.  Ok so you have a good position that challenges you but is not the greatest.  What do you do?

Find the thing that is interesting; understand that if there is one thing you are in the right place!

With that said I will start a focus on Mobile in this BLOG. I have been in Mobile Data for 20 years leading efforts with carriers and vendors both large and small. There is a new wave of Data and bandwidth emerging that 20 years ago was the fodder of “what if” meetings at Bell Mobile.

Before anyone thinks I am ranting on Apple I want to take this moment to thank Apple and the iPhone that opened the collective market thought that the phone is a PC! Without that shift today would still be stitched together garbage on clamshells!

I will leave you with one question? Would you be more willing to lend you phone to someone for a phone call or to use a data app? For me the answer is make a call but SMS, e-mail, Mobile Banking, Stock watch list…. These are my fingerprints,

My phone is more me than my PC!
